About us...
We are students of the Vienna Business School in Mödling, class of 4PK. Our practice company trades with office furniture.
Although we do not sell real products or handle actual money, we operate just like a real company.
Our goal is to gain hands-on experience and learn to take responsibilities. Our CEO, Mrs. Heissenberger, strengthens our professional development and performance.

Sustainability
The practice firm Business Line wants to adapt and become greener. Therefore, the company has introduced new measures:
Walking on Sunshine
Focus on natural lighting or turning off lights when not necessary
No Faking, but Making
Instead of using fake plastic plants, the company wants to establish real desk plants to ensure a greener environment
More Trees, Less Fees
The firm limits itself to printing documents when absolutely necessary or printing double-sided documents to reduce paper consumption
=> These measures also save time, money, and energy
Energy for Efficiency
When opening the windows, the heaters are turned off in order to save energy
Computers are switched off when not in use
Avoiding business trips to reduce CO2 emissions
During personal meetings, glass bottles are used and employees are encouraged to commute to work by train or other environmentally friendly means of transport
All of these measures are taken to provide a better future for the next generation.

Pedagogical concept of the practice enterprise
Pupils have the opportunity to work for a year in a practise firm that simulates all the processes of a real company. They are supported by ACT, the service centre for Austrian training firms, which simulates the bank, the tax office, the health insurance company and many more institutions. This allows students to become familiar with processes in a company, from purchasing to payment, from customer orders to dunning procedures and dunning actions. Even reporting and the registration of employees to the health insurance company are part of the course work. The teacher always takes on the role as a coach, providing advice and letting the students gain experience and supporting them when problems arise.
Strategic corporate goals and annual focus
We want to achieve the certification of the practice enterprise by 4 April 2025, after having completed the upgrade in January.
Another goal is to be in the TOP 3 at Schulbanker, a competition organised by the German Banking Association.
